The history of Stemper
Foundation
Founded in Mersch in 1954, Stemper has established itself over the decades as a recognised specialist in doors and windows in Luxembourg.
Emile Nenno takes over the company
In 1990, Mr Emile Nenno takes over the company and continues its development, placing product quality, service and customer satisfaction at the heart of his philosophy.
Move to Soleuvre
The company leaves Mersch for a new site in Soleuvre to support the growth of its activities.
Modernisation of production
Introduction of a new computer-controlled production line for PVC doors and windows.
Expansion of the product range
Diversification of the offering with an expanded range of high-quality doors and windows in timber, timber-aluminium and aluminium.
Julien Birgen takes over the company
After ten years of experience within the company, notably as administrative and financial director, Mr Julien Birgen takes full ownership of the company and continues its development.
New showroom and head office
The company reaches another milestone with the opening of a new showroom at 7, Place de l’Indépendance in Soleuvre, and the relocation of its head office and administrative services to a new site at 12, Zone Um Woeller in Soleuvre.
Preparing for family succession
Joe Birgen, Julien Birgen’s son, joins the family business. His arrival marks a new stage in preparing for succession and reflects the commitment to ensuring the company’s long-term future, continuity and development across generations.
A new site for the future
In April 2025, STEMPER S.A. reaches a major milestone in its development with the acquisition of a new property complex covering 3 021 m², located at 2, Zone Um Woeller in Soleuvre. In July 2025, the company brings all its activities together there, relocating its administrative services and technical and logistics facilities, and opening its new showroom. This ultramodern, environmentally responsible site now brings all the company’s activities together under one roof. It marks a new chapter in its history and reflects its commitment to investing sustainably in the future while improving the welcome and service it offers its customers.
